Three women separated by time, religion and culture; meet in order to help each other to overcome the pain that they have to face.
Samia a Muslim from Algeria, captured by a fundamentalist group that takes her to the mountains near to Annaba City; Mliss a Buddhist from Cambodia, that lives during the Khmer Rouge regime and Manuela a Catholic from Chile, political prisoner during the military government.
The novel recognizes the human duality. Each person is a complete universe that has the savior and the assassin, the torturer and the compassionate. The emphasis of the narration is not to judge the ones that have committed those crimes, but to celebrate the survivors. Beyond the pain they are able to love, convinced that it’s possible to create a better world.
